About Us

My passion for family law comes from personal experience. I grew up in a separated home, and today, I raise two sons co-parenting with their mother. We are far from the perfect family, but through well established communication and love for our children, we have managed to make the best of a separation. I have experienced that divorce and child custody does not need to be a fight.

Prior to becoming a family law attorney, I served ten years in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces Member. While going through the intricacies of a military family, I also decided to use any free time I had earning a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.

It was after my second tour of duty in the military that I decided to combine my passion, experience, and education and become a family law attorney.  I am now committed to providing my clients efficient results that support reasonable, significant, and meaningful parenting time, equitable division of property, and a smooth transition into a new chapter of life.

A Focus on Results

The first step is for us to work with you and come up with a plan to get the results you need. Through our understanding of the law and your understanding of the circumstances, we will craft a path to success for a smooth transition into a new chapter of life.

Dedication to Our Veterans

I served ten years in the United States Air Force alongside some of the greatest men and women in this Country. As a Security Forces Staff Sergeant, I had the opportunity to deploy to Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, and conducted Fly-Away Missions to Forward Operating Bases throughout Afghanistan. Because of the team and leadership placed around me, we were able to do tremendous work throughout the region, and I was blessed to be one of the Air Forces 12 Outstanding Airmen in 2012.

The best thing about my military service was having an opportunity to lead, supervise, and manage troops. Also, I was able to be mentored and led by some of the greatest leaders this Country has to offer. This experience allowed me to witness and have empathy for the various familial backgrounds, including my own, that our troops come from and we create through our challenging military service.

While in the military, my passion for making sure we give heavy attention to what service does to the family environment led me to use my tuition assistance on a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. This passion has equipped me with the ability to understand and process family law issues from the eye of the military member and their spouse. At Banks Law Firm we will ensure to bring that experience and understanding with our service to our military active members and veterans.
